Background

Trackstarz – formally known as Music Media Creators, established in Rotorua, New Zealand in 2010, now based in Brisbane, Australia and developed by Sam Hudson who has over 15 years experience in the music business, recording artist/singer/songwriter and producer/director for Ikon Productions. Sam (Professional stage name – Boss), released his first independent album, One Way in June 2010, which he wrote, performed vocally and produced all of the songs. He has studied for a diploma at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Kelvin Grove Brisbane Australia for music, body anatomy, dance and stage performance. As a performer/recording artist, he has performed alongside international recording artist Krayzie Bone (Bone Thugs and Harmony fame from USA) and New Zealand’s major recording artists Scribe, Adeaze, Savage, David Dallas, DJ Sirvere just to name a few.

He has performed at the popular Christian festival – Parachute in 2008 and 2011 and toured the country with his Hip Hop show “Krucial Rhymez” back in 2005 featuring local artists from New Zealand. His music has been placed on the New Zealand feature film Matariki as one of the main film segment tracks and also on the soundtrack album to the film, on the popular series of Meke My Waka for three straight seasons broadcast on New Zealand and Australian television and New Zealand music chart shows such as C4, Juice TV and Most Wanted. In 2010, Sam has lectured students at the Waiariki Academy of Singing and Music at Waiariki Institute of Technology, mentored at Te Maioha Youth Justice Facility Rotorua, New Zealand tutoring in music/video production, in 2013 at Goodna Youth Service and in 2014 at Access Community Services Brisbane, Australia for music/video and documentary production.

Sam also has over 15 years experience in the DJ industry and has run a successful DJ company throughout New Zealand and Brisbane Australia at club and private venues for all types of events.  His expertise ranges from using Technics turntables to the state of the art DDJ Pioneer digital controller and Serato software and JBL speaker equipment and MC techniques for private events to major events.

The Programme

This engaging, exciting and interactive music/DJ/video production programme, customised for our clients needs introduces the fundamentals to the music recording artists, musicians, DJ’s and performers of tomorrow and gives them the opportunity to express their creativity, engage in live performance, aim for television music or talent show exposure, music career opportunities or international success.

Designed for music/DJ/video production enthusiasts, our hands-on tutorials programme consists of a professional recording studio, DJ room and video production suite.  Our service is also fully portable and can be taken to any suitable venue, classroom, gymnasium or auditorium location. Beginning at the grass roots to the advanced level, people have full access to professional skills development classes, the latest technology in music, DJ and video equipment and software programs.  We show people firsthand how they can create music and perform live on stage, perform in music videos or in film without any formal training and make their dreams become a reality.

In summary, the emphasis of this programme will be to channel people’s energy and talents into creating a positive focus within a comfortable and creative environment and can assist them in becoming the next generation of music recording artist, DJ, video producer, musician or performer.
